[ after entering their room, leia's first order of business had been to take a bath. the food and medicine would probably be ready by the time she was done and, after such a long day, a nice, long soak sounded pretty appealing. so, she had gathered up her pajamas (because screw rpg logic that says they wear their default outfits to bed) and headed for the bathroom— but not without calling a warning to not peek over her shoulder as she went.
her bath wasn't too long, all things considered, but she had been right about their order being ready by the time she was done. it wasn't until she started eating that she realized how hungry she actually was, though, and she was pretty quiet while they ate as a result. there might've been a little bit of joking back and forth, of course, but her focus had been on the food in front of her. she even managed to take the medicine without too much complaint (though she had definitely made it known that she wasn't a fan of how it tasted).
and by the time all of that is over and they're both done with anything else that might need to be tended to, she's actually feeling a little bit better. her fever is still there and she's still feeling weaker than usual, but she's also more comfortable and ready to settle in for some well-deserved relaxation. the room's cozy atmosphere definitely lends itself to that, especially now that the noise from the festival has completely faded away for the night, anyway.
if she was roomed with milla and elize like old times, this would probably be when she would try to spark up some girl talk, and while alvin probably isn't suited for that, that doesn't mean that they can't talk at all. so, she scoots to the edge of the bed, letting her legs dangle over it, and pats the spot beside her. ]
Wanna come sit?

Yeah, you'd better be able to explain! [ her voice is quieter than before, but she sounds mad instead of just surprised now. ] What the heck were you doing in my bed?
no subject
[owww.]
no subject
[ he's lucky she's not mad enough to chuck a pillow at him. ]
no subject
It's not like I actually wanted to sleep with you. I was waiting to see if your grip would loosen and I must have dozed off.
no subject
[ ... even if she had felt pretty content before she drifted off.
and she scoots back from the edge of the bed so that she can sit up properly, with her back to the headboard. ]
no subject
Could have fooled me with how clingy you were.
[now standing, he moves to start getting ready.]
no subject
[ she makes a point not to look at him once he gets up, but after a short bout of silence, she finally speaks up again, picking at a loose thread in the sheets as she does. ]
... did you hurt yourself when you fell?
[ because even if she's still a little annoyed, she feels bad for not asking already. ]
no subject
[said dryly.
but then he just sighs.]
No, I'm fine. And I'm guessing you're feeling better if you have that much energy.
[what a way to start the morning. okay so yes it had been pretty shocking, but come on! like he would do anything—
wait is that really why he's annoyed that she got so mad and accusatory at him? does he feel offended? haha, Alvin how cute.]
no subject
Yeah, I feel a lot better now.
[ she does sound congested, though, and if he tries checking her temperature, she'll still be warmer than usual. so, her cold is definitely still a thing. ]
I guess that means you're getting out of taking care of me, huh?
[ which is fine, because it's not like she liked that in any way, shape, or form. nope. ]
no subject
Probably, unless I have to.
[after another moment, he half turns to look at her.]
How's your fever?
no subject
[ she lifts a hand to press the inside of her wrist to her forehead, and... that's not working out for her so well. ]
I think I'm gonna need your help with this one.
no subject
[but he does walk over to her, leaning over a bit as he places a hand to her forehead. ...hmm.]
A little warm, but not as bad as yesterday. You still have another dose of the medicine, right?
no subject
[ she wrinkles her nose, but leans over so that she can move her hat and take the bottle from where she left it on the nightstand. ]
Do you think I should take it? I was kind of hoping I could wait for it to go down on its own.
[ but she's taking a look at the label anyway. ]
no subject
[a small flick to the forehead before he pulls back and grabs his change of clothes.]
Go ahead and take it. I'm using the bathroom first.
no subject
[ she fiddles with the bottle for a little while, but by the time he comes back out of the bathroom, it will be sitting empty on the nightstand. because she's a good patient. ]
no subject
All right, your turn. If you hurry, we might still manage breakfast.
Or do you want to eat in the room again?
no subject
[ and to make her point, she flops back down into the bed. ]
Let's just order in.
no subject
[he sits in one of the chairs as he reaches for the inn's landline phone that they totally have because I said so.]
no subject
[ she shrugs, messing with the bedding until she can prop herself up comfortably on the pillows. ]
Maybe we can stay in for a little while and then hit the streets again later on.
[ it's not like she can't work from her bed, anyway. in fact, she even reaches for her notepad once he's on the phone, because if nothing else she can always organize her notes and work on a rough draft. ]
no subject
You really don't take many breaks, do you? If I were you, I'd just sleep in bed and not worry about work until later.
no subject
[ she says this without so much as glancing up at him. ]
Maybe you could stand to learn a thing or two from me.
[ or maybe she could stand to be less of a workaholic. ]
no subject
no subject
[ and now she looks over at him. ]
I'll seriously go stir crazy if I have to sit in here by myself all day!
no subject
Fine, fine. I wouldn't want the pup to tear up the room while I'm gone.
