[if there was one thing Elympions were really adept at, it was creating highly technological constructions and living the "high life" so to speak. after the schism dropped, this only increased due to the access to additional, if currently expensive, resources. and with Rieze Maxia also being rich with resources and willing to increase the economy, coordinating to create a fun place where both citizens could enjoy was easier than expected. had a few bumps along the way, of course, including whether the location would adversely affect the neighboring towns, but after several months of planning and clearing out the monsters, a large portion of the Kijara Seafalls had been converted to something like a water park resort. using the natural formations already existing, including the many waterfalls, the company in charge of this endeavor managed to recreate the setting to include natural made water slides and of course the many variety of natural and artificial pools—casual ones to just sit and relax, larger ones to just swim around, wave pools, and even a section for some heated ones.

technology wise, it's a combination of spirit artes, spyrix, and spyrites. the use of spyrix had been as minimal as possible, but their world isn't quite there with replacing it with spyrite. however, it has been designed so that the conversion would be seamless, and it helps that the park is indeed mostly naturally made.

so during the following summer of their last adventure, Alvin had received two tickets to its opening. a gift for being a Svent. although he isn't really "part of the family" anymore, he can't exactly say he didn't like the few perks that come his way. free gifts definitely were one of them. now the problem is...would he actually go? If so, who would he ask? or should he just give them both away? but even with those questions, he was already thinking, "Leia would probably kill to have these." and well, that made his decision for him.

and so invite her he did and here they are at the Kijara Seafalls Resort. the opening ceremony had been a "splashing" hit and the place is packed with a variety of people from esteemed invited guests to those who managed to purchase tickets to every day families who won the lottery prize. and a lot of kids. a lot of kids.

and like everyone else, he's dressed in casual swimming shorts, sandals, sunglasses, and a loose unbuttoned shirt.]

Well the lines are going to be insane, I can tell you that much. So what should we try out first?

and then he notices the looks from nearby staff. uh. okay.]

[ she's going to pull herself out of the pool for real this time. ]

Go ahead and lay it on me.

What, you think I'm going to tell you right here and now? Nah, I'm saving it for dinner.

Aw, okay. I guess that's fair.

[ this probably isn't the best time for a story, anyway. ]

Don't think I'm going to forget and let you off the hook when the time comes, though!

[and walking back to where they literally dropped their stuff and pulls out his towel, wiping his face and hair first before starting to dry himself off.]

So what do you want to do until then?

[ she follows, and then takes a moment to towel off her hair while she thinks. ]

Well, we could always hit up the other rides.

We do have a couple more to do—and going back on that first one.

the lines are a little longer than they were last time, since most of the other visitors are done with their lunches and ready to get back to the excitement. luckily, in spite of the wait, time goes by pretty quickly.

as dinner time gets near, leia is pretty hungry again, so she's... enthusiastic about heading to the inn, to say the least— it's pretty big and elaborate, not to mention newly-made specifically with visitors of the amusement park in mind, and she can't help but marvel at it as they check in and make their way up to the suite. that's pretty nice, too, and since she's never been in one before, she takes the liberty of exploring it thoroughly once she drops her bag off in her room and gets changed into something dry.

So, are you all set to get some food?

Yeah. We have a few options here.

[he's also changed into rather casual attire, and is currently sitting in a swivel chair by an office desk that had been installed in the suite. with one leg crossed over with an ankle against his knee, he looks through the booklet provided for them.]

There are a few restaurants within the building itself, some outside in the area, and then of course there's ordering room service.

[he waves her over.]

Here, you can take a look at which place we should try.

[ she comes over, resting her hands against the back of the chair as she looks at the booklet. ]

Let's see... It might be nice to go out to eat instead of ordering in.

[ after a moment, she reaches over his shoulder to point to one of the restaurants detailed in the book. it's nothing particularly fancy, but the little blurb provided seems appealing enough— they have a mix of rieze maxian and elympion cuisine in addition to some appropriately-tropical dishes (which are probably what got her attention). it's located inside the building, so it's not too far away, either. ]

This place has my vote!

[he tilts his head a little toward her.]

Hm...doesn't sound too bad. Now the better question is, should we walk in and wait or try and see if we can get a reservation?

[and then a glance up to her.]

Personally I'd go for the latter. Who knows how busy it's going to get, and would give us time to properly freshen up, anyway. [instead of the quick change.]

Let's try for a reservation.

[ because, yeah, it would suck to have to wait, and grabbing a shower does seem pretty appealing... she takes a small step back from the chair and then glances back toward her room. ]

Do you wanna call, or should I?

I can handle it. You go ahead first—but don't take too long, all right?

[slight teasing jab at girls always taking forever in the bathroom ~~he probably takes just as long~~]

Don't worry about it! I'll be done before you know it.

[ and she shoots him a cheeky grin before heading back to her room. ]

[he just chuckles a little before making that call and reservation, and then taking a shower himself. hooray for VIP suites and having separate bathrooms. again he's dressed semi-casually instead of the whole "business chic." no need for that when the restaurant itself is semi-casual.

once they're both ready to go, it would be about time for them to head out, and when they get there they'll find making the reservation was a smart move. because there's a lot of people.]

[ she's out of the shower and dressed pretty quickly, all things considered, and she takes a cue from him and dresses in a similarly casual (but still cute and fashionable) style— no need to get all dressed up if they're not going somewhere fancy.

and when they get to the restaurant, she looks pretty surprised. ]

I guess it's a good thing we called in ahead of time, huh?

[ she looks around, noting that there are only a few tables that are actually free, and then looks up at him. ]

I don't think we would be eating any time soon if we hadn't.

I thought this would happen. It's a new place after all, and from its looks and description seems to cater toward the younger crowd like you. [a slight teasing grin before stepping up to the main desk.

he had only given his first name, so no extra perks this time, but the room number does identify him as one of the VIPs. since they're pretty much on time, they don't have to wait too long and are ushered off to their table.

now sitting, he just looks through the menu again.]

Still, it's not bad. Seems lively, even without the crowd.

[it had a very aquatic theme, with an almost Mediterranean equivalent flair to the decorations. bright colors, upbeat music playing over the speakers, it had the sophistication of Elympios but the atmosphere of Rieze Maxia. it's no wonder it attracts the younger crowd from both countries, and from what he sat he could see groups from both countries mingling together.]

Yeah! It looks pretty awesome, if I do say so myself!

[ and she grins at him over the top of her menu. it's crowded, but the atmosphere definitely appeals to her, so she's feeling pretty pleased with herself for picking this place out. ]

All the food sounds great, too. Hm... [ she lays her menu flat, flipping through it slowly. then, something catches her eye, and she points to it. ] Maybe we should order one of these!

[ it's an appetizer with samples of both rieze maxian and elympion foods, and it looks like it's supposed to be something like a signature dish. ~~also. the waiter/waitress/whichever should mistake them for a couple when they order~~. ]

[he leans over and looks it over, reading the text.]

Oh, that's not a bad choice. I'm game for it.

[and then he's flipping through his and—]

Wait, check this out. There's a two for one sort of deal here.

[and then he's flipping his over so she can see.]

It has what you picked out, and then we can choose our entrees and a dessert for a discount.

[and since it's a discounted deal—well of course he would go for it.]

What kind of dessert should we get?

Ooh...now that's a tough one. Let's take a look at what they have.

[and pulling out the smaller, separate dessert menu, scooting his chair a little around so they can have a better look together, an action he probably does often whenever they're eating at some place. easier than trying to lean over all the time.]

Well they have a lot of different cheesecakes... And a few specialties. Looks like some volcano slide or something. [with ice cream and hot fudge and that thing is so huge he's not sure if he could even handle it.]

[ she meets him partway, scooting her chair closer when he does. then, she leans closer still so that she can take a look for herself. ]

Cheesecake sounds okay and all, but this one seems way better. [ the speciality, of course. she reaches out to tap her finger against the picture briefly. ] You think that between the two of us we could finish it?

[ because it is pretty big, but it also looks ridiculously sweet, and she can't say no to that. ]

I had a feeling you'd want to go for it. [he does sound wary though, but...]

What the hell, it'll be a while before we ever come back here again. If we don't finish, we can just take it back up.

Or we could just half of our entrees to save more room.
